Spring Break
I got my rigorous rough draft done. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it's the minimum number of words and then some (6800), so I've got something to turn in. I got back from Nashville yesterday evening. I had a good time, and enjoyed seeing some friends I haven't seen in a long while. On Friday I drove to Birmingham and picked up my friends Alan and Meredith who got married last December. We got to Nashville that evening and met at Ryan and Randy's apartment. We stayed there and had a party of some sort, even played a little Rock Band. My buddy Todd, Alan, and I hung out on the back porch most of the night talking about religion, which usually happens. Still fun though. On Saturday, four of us went to a shooting range while the rest went to a movie. That night we had dinner at this place called Jackson's in downtown Nashville which was really good. After dinner we went over to one of Ryan's co-worker's house and hung out there. Most everyone there were Vanderbilt graduates who were from up north (Indiana, Illinois, and New York). It was interesting seeing how a lot of my friends have moved on with their lives after college. It overwhelms me that I am very close to being in that position. Alan and Meredith are living in Birmingham with Meredith working and Alan in medical school at UAB. Ryan and Randy are in Nashville working, using their engineering degrees. They seem to love being in Nashville. It was fun and all, but living in the city is not for me. Sunday morning we went to worship in Smyrna where my buddy Todd went as a youngster. Randy's girlfriend Abby also went there as well. We heard a good sermon on Caleb and "wholly following the Lord." It was a fun weekend, but I am now exhausted. I have very little motivation for school work...
